NASA Releases First-Ever iPhone Game, Complete With Wiseass Remarks – And to think, it was just the other day I was telling a NASA employee that the private market could do a lot of the same stuff they do and it would be more cost efficient. She threw “we invented velcro” at me. If only she’d known they were releasing this iPhone app, she could have shut my point down completely. At least they are giving it away, so your tax dollars are being returned to you…if you happen to have an iPhone.
Marijuana use by seniors goes up as boomers age – Disclaimer: I don’t set things in fire and put them in my mouth. Period. But there are a lot of “get-off-my-lawn” type older people who really do need to chill out a little. And that wasn’t even brought up in this article. So how, exactly, would it hurt me if they got a little help with achieving that?
CPAC Exhaustion – Oops! So what if she said she met him but was mistaken. It’s not that big a deal. I’ll give some linkages just to say that. 🙂
10 fake Simpsons words that belong in the dictionary – Doh!
George Washington: Simplicity seeker – The Father of our desire for simplicity.

9 Studies That the Anti-Vaccination Movement Says Show Links or Bury the Truth – And a few notes on them. I don’t understand the Latin parts, but I think the idea here is that these things keep a lot of people from getting really bad diseases, err, alive.
NASA Administrator Charlie Bolden said Tuesday that President Barack Obama has asked him to “find ways to reach out to dominantly Muslim countries” as the White House pushes the space agency to become a tool of international diplomacy.
Hang on a sec…have to look over my shoulder to see if I can figure out where the guys from Candid Camera or Punk’d have hidden their equipment.
I know I didn’t read something that idiotic. Surely we aren’t supposed to take this seriously.
It gets more and more ridiculous by the day.
Also excellent for break dancing at your 7th grade talent show. You nose it’s true.
Class Warfare’s Next Target: 401(k) Savings.
You did the responsible thing. You saved in your IRA or 401(k) to support your retirement, when you could have spent that money on another vacation, or an upscale car, or fancier clothes and jewelry. But now Washington is developing plans for your retirement savings.
Well, they aren’t talking about confiscating your retirement savings. Instead, they want to have you “invest” that money into Treasury bonds. Oh, by the way, Â you are free to do that now, if you so choose.
It’s exactly what we’d all be doing that if we believed the rate of return was worth the risk involved in the investment.
My suggestion to anyone who is in favor of this crap is to go ahead and divest all of your retirement savings currently sitting in mutual funds/stocks and buy up Treasury bonds.
Then come talk to me about why this is a good idea. We’ll have that discussion again in 10 years or so and see what you think about it then.
So we could watch Prince rehearsal tapes from 1984 in the year 2010.
What an unbelievably talented guy, even if he does rip a lot of his stuff from James Brown.
There are more videos after the jump. Thanks to The Snarky One for Buzzing this.
Chick Pea has really been enjoying a weekly craft day that allows us to work on letters and sounds. It’s a great way to not only teach kids the letters and their sounds, but also give them a chance to work on their fine motor skills by placing the animal parts onto the paper. She’s also very proud of the them, and loves to look at them displayed on the wall.
So far, we’ve made it through “I for Iguana”, and the quality seems to be improving every week. The excitement builds up every week because she now knows which letter is coming next and which animal she’s going to be constructing.
Here’s a list of animals you can use, but feel free to come up with your own creative ways to go through the letters with different animals or a different set of objects altogether. TIP–spend 10 or 15 minutes after bed time the night before you plan on doing the craft to prepare everything, cut out the shapes you’ll be using, etc.

Now that you’ve got the buzzes hitting your inbox under control, let’s get serious about organization by using Multiple Inboxes.
There are some really good tips here, but the multiple inbox tip is probably the best. Even if you aren’t using Google Buzz (or don’t want to use it), multiple inboxes is a huge feature in gmail that will go a long way in keeping you organized.
Oh, and here’s a good article for the Buzz haters–how to disable Google Buzz. And there’s more to it than just clicking the link at the bottom of the page.
From Florida Today’s Space Team Blog
President Obama’s plan to end the space shuttle program and cancel the shuttles’ replacement is troubling enough. More worrisome: the White House budget released last Monday shows little sign of a human space flight program beyond the space station this decade or next. There’s no clear goal to go boldly anywere.
According to my sources, the general feelings around KSC are uncertainty and gloom. The uncertainty is probably the worst part.
Don’t know if I like this song better at the start of the run or at the end, but it’s on the playlist.

iPhone Is Buzz Compatible While Most Android Phones Aren’t – "Currently there is only an estimated 28% of Android devices in use that are capable of taking full advantage of these services. This is due to the fact that lower Android versions browser does not support HTML5, although the gears requirement is meet". How's that for ironic and frustrating?
Google Buzz in Enterprise – Will Need to Overcome Google Apps Limitations – More on Google Buzz in the Enterprise. This argument against it (for now) makes sense
A Butcher’s Tips for Avoiding Cuts in the Kitchen – We just bought a knife sharpener, and it scares me to have blades that will actually cut things now. Although, a sharp blade is probably safer.
A newspaper starts exiting the Web – Huh?! I guess if you're trying to kill your newspaper, it's better to kill it as quickly as possible instead of letting it suffer.

5 Reasons Why Google Buzz Will Fail – Funny!!!!
Consumer debt will hold back spending, holding back economic growth. – Don't be ridiculous. We just have to "get banks lending again". Right.
Nancy Reagan had Just Say No.
Laura Bush promoted the importance of literacy.
Now, Michelle Obama is fighting obesity.
When are we going to elect a First Lady who raises awareness of the threat the President (and Congress) poses to the futures of the country’s young people?
…and why Wave may not.
When I was watching the presentation for Google Buzz, I couldn’t help but notice that a lot of the functionality was duplicated in Wave. So why could Buzz catch on where Wave hasn’t?
Because it’s not something “new”. It’s just something in addition to the email everyone is used to working with.
In large organizations, services like Yammer (which I love) are too much of a shift in mindset for too many people at once. But if something is introduced as simply an extended feature of a tool you’re already using, the game changes.
The enterprise LOVES its email. It’s smart to build a service on top of that instead of trying to establish a new service altogether, which is what Wave tried to do.
What I really love is that both of these products are coming out of the same company and look to be competing with one another on some level. The end user will be the ultimate winner as these two groups within Google try to make their product the standard.
As Sharepoint…either way, it was (sorta) nice knowing you.
And still, I think the most potential is in the enterprise.
If it would only write to Twitter. Lot’s of people have a lot of equity built up over there and aren’t going to want to throw that away.
